About my practice

I offer speech and language therapy in a group setting and incorporate yoga into my practice. I am also a children’s yoga teacher and love combining both SLT and yoga to make my intervention much more fun for children!

I run groups targeting various different areas of speech and language development. Examples of groups available include: vocabulary development groups, narrative development groups, specific speech sound groups, AAC groups and literacy development groups.

Why incorporate yoga?

  • Children learn best when their sensory and emotional regulation needs are met and when they feel content. Yoga provides this regulation through movement, stretching, chanting, meditation, affirmations, visualisations and storytelling.
  • Yoga makes learning fun, reduces stress and has been proven to increase academic performance and cognitive function.
  • The yoga group structure enables the provision of direct speech therapy in a fun and meaningful way for the children.
