I am an experienced Senior Speech & Language Therapist who has worked with children for the past 12 years. I currently work part time for the HSE in a primary care setting as well as in my private practice The Speech Spot in Ballinteer, Dublin 16. I graduated with a first class honours master’s degree from the University of Limerick in 2007.

I have experience completing Assessment of Need with children of all age groups and with a variety of needs. I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience working with and alongside clinicians, parents, teachers and Special Needs Assistants.  I am committed to providing a high quality client centred service that sees each child reach their unique potential. I believe in working collaboratively with parents and involving them fully in the speech and language intervention process to achieve this. For me, I believe building rapport with the child is a vital part of the assessment process and allows the child to be comfortable and better engage in the therapy process.

I am experienced in the comprehensive assessment of speech, language and communication impairments including but not limited to; Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Verbal Dyspraxia, Cleft Palate, children who stammer and Social Communication Disorder.

I aim to deliver an individualised, motivating and engaging therapy programme to help children maximise their communication potential.

I am registered with CORU (Health & Social Care Professionals Council), and am a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT).

I am a Mam to 3 young children, so spare time is limited but between school runs, den-building, and taxi services to activities and play-dates, I enjoy the gym and a walk by the sea.

I have also completed a number of postgraduate training courses including:

  • Hanen It Takes Two To Talk
  • Hanen More Than Words
  • Hanen Talkability
  • Hanen Target Word
  • Palin Parent Child Interaction Therapy for children who stammer
