About my practice
Dr. Stella Choy, completed her PhD research in Trinity College Dublin.
Stella is registered to practise as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland by CORU.
Stella is a PROMPT-trained SLT based in Dublin, who works with children with autism, cerebral palsy, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS).
With her extensive experiences, Stella specialises in working with children with complex needs in a holistic approach, such as autism spectrum conditions, selective mutism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, and oromotor delay, to name a few.
The waiting list for autism assessment for aged 4-18 years is NOW open as Dr. Choy teams up with a PSI Chartered Psychologist, both of them are fully trained and experienced in ADIR and ADOS-2.
Stella Choy has over 20 years of experience in Speech and language therapy since graduating from The University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences (Honours). She has worked with over 500 individuals, supervised speech therapy students and lectured “Special Education”, “Language Delays and Training” and “Autism Spectrum Disorders” modules at universities. Currently, Stella is also a Senior Lecturer at Portobello Institute for the Master of Science in SLT Programme.
Stella completed her Master of Social Sciences (Counselling) with a Distinction from The University of Hong Kong.
She is a bilingual speaker of English and Chinese. She holds advanced certificates in Mandarin, French, and German. Stella completed introductory-level courses in Gaeilge, Japanese and Korean. She specialises in giving parenting advice about the language environment for your child.
Availability: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm.
