About my practice
Senior Speech and Language Therapist – Now Accepting Referrals
I am a Senior Speech and Language Therapist with over 16 years of experience working across a variety of settings, including homes, clinics, preschools, and schools, within both public and private services. I have extensive clinical experience supporting children and young people with speech, language, and communication differences or difficulties.
My approach is collaborative—I work closely with parents, caregivers, and teachers to identify the most effective strategies and interventions for each child’s communication needs, using their interests and fun, engaging activities as a foundation.
I welcome new referrals from parents and caregivers for both assessment and therapy. Based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, I offer home visits within a 20-minute drive and also provide online appointments.
I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure the highest standards of evidence-based practice, incorporating the most up-to-date therapy principles and programmes. Some of the specialist training I have completed includes:
- Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words
- DIR Floortime and DIR: Developmental Language Intervention in the Context of Relationships
- The SCERTS Model
- Shape Coding
- Speech Sound Disorders: Beyond the Basics (Caroline Bowen)
- Lámh Signs 1
- Solution-Focused Approach to Therapy
- Word Aware
- Elklan Total Training Package (5–11 years)
- Early Talk Boost and Talk Boost KS1
- Developmental Language Disorder in Older Children, Young People and Adults: Identification, Assessment and Management (Victoria Joffe)
If you would like to learn more about how I can support your child’s communication, please get in touch. I am happy to talk through the services I provide.
