About my practice
I am an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) who has been supporting the communication needs of young people and families over many years. I have extensive experience working in the public sector as part of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) multi-disciplinary teams, in paediatric Primary Care SLT settings, and with adults in acute hospital settings. I am skilled in neurodevelopmental assessment and I adopt a neuroaffirmative approach to therapy where possible.
I am a European Clinical Specialist in Stammering (ESS) with lived experience of stammering. I have been involved in the stammering community for over 25 years. My therapy approach is to support people to be open and confident about their stammering. I understand the importance of providing support outside the clinic room and I am keen to foster school/work environments that understand and accommodate stammering.
