CommuniKids is a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy practice based in Co. Monaghan.
With a combined clinical experience of over four decades, we, Patricia and Clare, are highly experienced speech and language therapists committed to making a difference in children’s lives. Our journey in the field has honed our expertise, equipping us with invaluable insights into the intricacies of speech and language development.

Patricia is a dedicated professional with over 23 years of experience as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist. Graduating from Trinity College Dublin in 2000, she has since made significant contributions to the field through her work in Primary Care and Disability services within the HSE.
Specialising in supporting children with disabilities, Patricia has focused her expertise on early intervention and school -aged disability services. Her passion for Augmentative and Alternative communication ( AAC) shines through in her commitment to improving the lives of the children she works with.
Known for her ability to empower both parents and professionals, Patricia believes strongly in the importance of coaching individuals to enhance their understanding and efficacy in supporting children with communication challenges. Her unique blend of clinical expertise and compassionate approach makes her an invaluable asset in the field of Speech and Language Therapy.

Clare is a highly specialist speech and language therapist with nearly two decades of experience, grounded in a commitment to compassionate care and professional growth. Graduating from the University of Ulster in 2007, Clare embarked on a fulfilling journey within the healthcare sector, embracing diverse roles across both the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the National Health Service (NHS).
Having worked within autism and disability services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and various other community care settings, Clare has developed a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of speech and language therapy. Clare ensures a neuro-affirmative approach, recognising the importance of affirming individuals’ neurological differences and strengths in therapy.
Central to her approach is the belief in making therapy enjoyable and engaging for children. Clare brings creativity and a playful spirit to her interventions, recognising that a positive experience can greatly enhance outcomes. She is passionate about providing effective, child-centred therapy that fosters meaningful progress and empowers individuals and families.
In all her endeavours, Clare approaches her work with empathy, passion, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those with whom she works. Her journey as a highly specialist speech and language therapist is characterised by a commitment to providing compassionate care and facilitating meaningful communication outcomes for all.
