About my practice

Deirdre Kiernan has over thirty years experience and founded the Speechclinic over twenty years ago. She sees all childhood communication disorders and adults with voice, stammering and literacy difficulties. She is the lecturer for voice disorders on the Master’s in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Limerick.Deirdre specialises in in the treatment of; language/speech disorders, literacy/dyslexia, stammering, voice disorders, upper-airway disorders (paradoxical vocal cord dysfunction, chronic cough, exercise induced laryngeal obstruction)She regularly attends postgraduate courses too numerous to detail. She is a member of the Special Interest Group in Voice Disorders.She works in private practice at the Speech Clinic with Jennifer Kiely and Elizabeth Quinn, which supports and facilitates continuing professional development.
