About my practice

Treasa Ní Mhíocháin qualified with an first class honours degree in speech and language therapy from NUIGin 2021.

She has practiced as a pediatric speech and language therapist across a number of services and has extensive experience working in clinics, preschools, schools and specialist educational settings. Treasa has also had experience working in a specific neuroaffirming practice in Sydney, Australia.

Treasa is experienced in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children with a range of communication difficulties. She is passionate about supporting communication in children and works closely with their parents and schools to achieve maximum gains. She strives to deliver an individualised, motivating and engaging therapy programme to help children maximise their communication potential.

Treasa works with children with the following profiles, late talkers, speech and language delays, speech sound disorders, developmental language disorders and Autism. She has completed multiple additional training courses. Additional training completed includes: Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) Trained therapist- Meaningful Speech; Hanen More than Words; SCERTS; LAMH and Adina Levy’s Affirming Communication for Autistic children training.
