About my practice

I am a highly skilled speech and language therapist with over 30 years experience treating a wide variety of client groups. Early Intervention: As a mum of two I fully understand the worry and concern of parents and also the frustration, poor self-image and the isolation a child can experience when they have difficulty communicating or being understood by family, teachers and peers.

Since my qualification I have attended many training courses, including: Hanen: ‘It takes two to talk’ and ‘More than words’; Derbyshire Language Scheme; Elklan 0-5 yrs and 6-11 yrs training courses; DIR Floortime; Caroline Bowen courses on Speech Sound Difficulties; Shape Coding (Susan Ebbels); Fun with Fluency (Patty Walton); Palin Parent and child Interaction (fluency); The Lidcombe Programme of Early Stuttering Intervention; LSVT LOUD (Parkinson’s); Edith Strand’s DTTC training (Childhood Apraxia of Speech). I also keep up-to-date with current research through CPD.
